May Coalition Topics:

· Updates from you or your agency on the topic of breastfeeding. 

     Please come prepared to share any updates with the rest of the coalition.

· Review and updates from the Alaska Breastfeeding Symposium.

· Coordinating outreach to local providers with up to date coalition and breastfeeding resource information.

A Woman's Affair

A Woman's Affair starts this evening at 6:00 PM and runs through Sunday afternoon! 

Come and visit our booth and enter to win a great door prize, feed your baby, or talk to our friendly volunteers about breastfeeding resources in our community...

April Breastfeeding Coalition Meeting

This month's meeting will be held at RCPC WIC on Tuesday, April 9th from 12-1PM. 

Their address is 726 26th Ave. Suite 2. 

This month's education presentation will be via DVD by Dr. Jack Newman. 

The topic is Slow Weight Gain after Initial Good Weight Gain.  Hope to see you there!

A Woman's Affair

April 5-7th is A Woman's Affair. 

We will be hosting a booth again to get the word out about the coalition and let families know what breastfeeding supports are available in our community.  We are currently looking for volunteers to staff the booth and door prizes.  The door prizes were a huge hit last year!

The Breastfeeding Coalition will have a display table providing information about the coalition and the importance of breastfeeding in relation to diabetes.  We are looking for volunteers to help staff our table.  Contact Laura at 451-1632 if you are interested.
