Parent Pit Stop Volunteers Needed

Be part of supporting the Fairbanks Breastfeeding Coalition and young families in our community by volunteering at the Parent Pit Stop at the Tanana Valley State Fair this year! 

Volunteers are needed each day of the fair, August 3-12. 

3 hour shifts are available from 1-4PM, 4-7PM, and 7-10PM. 

Volunteers receive a free entry to the fair, courtesy of Fairbanks Families.

Volunteers are responsible for making sure that the Parent Pit Stop stays safe and clean for families to change diapers and feed their young children.

World Breastfeeding Week

World Breastfeeding Week is coming up the first week of August... Now is the time to be thinking how we would like to celebrate it as a community.  This year's theme is "The Road to Lifelong Health Begins With Breastfeeding."  More information can be found on the ILCA Worldbreastfeeding Week Website.

This DVD presentation will assist you as a breastfeeding professional in strengthening your observation and assessment skills around infant sucking and swallowing.

We will also discuss the upcoming World Breastfeeding Week in August.

Directions to Bentley Room:  Enter main entrance of FMH and take the elevator to the 5th floor.  Take a left and the room will be directly in front of you.  A sign will be posted at the door.
