Monthly Coalition Meeting

Mothers and Babies: The Mysteries of the Night

Coalition Meeting Tomorrow!

You are invited to our monthly meeting tomorrow!

We will be meeting at the Fairbanks Public Health Center Conference Room on 1025 W. Barnette St.

The educational presentation will via DVD, and is titled

Latch On America: Lessons Learned from the Big Pink Bus. 

Come and be encouraged in supporting breastfeeding, and connect with other like minded people in our community!

     Please come prepared to share any updates with the rest of the coalition.

· Review of The Great Latch On, and Parents’ Pit Stop events.

· Celebration ideas for World Breastfeeding Week which we had talked about celebrating in the month of October.

Coalition Meeting Tomorrow!

The Fairbanks Breastfeeding Coalition meets tomorrow at the Fairbanks Public Health Center from 12-1PM!  The topic of our educational seminar will be entitled Human Milk Fortifications: Why, When and What?  This is a fairly technical presentation from the 2011 ILCA Conference, but provides helpful information for you as a breastfeeding professional.  Call Laura at 451-1632 with any questions or concerns.

Parent Pit Stop Volunteers Needed

Be part of supporting the Fairbanks Breastfeeding Coalition and young families in our community by volunteering at the Parent Pit Stop at the Tanana Valley State Fair this year! 

Volunteers are needed each day of the fair, August 3-12. 

3 hour shifts are available from 1-4PM, 4-7PM, and 7-10PM. 

Volunteers receive a free entry to the fair, courtesy of Fairbanks Families.

Volunteers are responsible for making sure that the Parent Pit Stop stays safe and clean for families to change diapers and feed their young children.
